To enter Cuba, foreign travelers and Cubans residing abroad must necessarily have a certificate of insurance covering such medical expenses from the month of May.
The new rule will come into force on May 1, states that "all passengers, foreigners and Cubans living abroad 'should be able to enter the country, carry documents certifying that they have taken out a policy of travel insurance, covering medical expenses, issued by a broker or an organization recognized by the Cuban authorities.”
