Automotive
- After the 15 of December, all automobiles in the province of Quebec will have to be equipped with winter tires. Be advised. Book them now. Consult a specialist in the field to make the best choice.
- Install or check the motor heater in anticipation of the cold season. Its connection will help you to save money on fuel.
- For the same reason, reduce the weight of your vehicle by removing any unnecessary equipment.
- To better cope with winter conditions, clean the body of your car and conclude with a good waxing. Wash also the interior, especially the windows to prevent unpleasant reflections.
Home
- Take a look at the sealing joints on doors, windows and balconies, and replace if necessary.
- Review the heating appliances: properly maintained appliances reduce your costs and will not let you down in the middle of winter.
- Disconnect the hose
- Drain the duct if the tap is does not have an anti-frost protection.
- Test smoke and CO2 detectors.
- Replace incandescent bulbs with compact fluorescent bulbs which, to produce the same amount of light, consume up to 75% less energy and last about 10 times longer.
- Hard to believe, but it is indeed time to contact your contractor to redo the bricks' joints or the terrace for next spring!
