A new antitheft system will be on the market in Quebec. Tag Tracking will generate an important evolution: it will be the first system to combine marking and tracing.
The new system was designed by former employees of Boomerang who are associated to TAG that manufactures other devices like this one. Considering the degree of sophistication of thieves, TAG offers a product that will cover several aspects of the theft.
First, the firm offers two logos of Tag Tracking on the front windows of the vehicle to warn the thief that the vehicle is marked. This identification will be done with a chemical process, more durable than a sticker.
Then a marking of parts is done. Tag innovates by marking with an electronic tagging wireless technology. Each vehicle will have nano-tags of the size of a paperclip hidden side. Each nano-tag will have its own identity and its electronic serial number and can be read from a distance of ten feet. A patrol team will be able to identify stolen vehicles or vehicles assembled with stolen parts thanks to nano-tags. Other devices in addition to nano-tags will be wireless, another novelty on the market. They will also be equipped with an anti-jamming technology wave. Tag will also have a 24 hours/day, 7 days/week monitoring station.
Tag Tracking begins its activities June 10, 2010. The product will be sold $349.95. No monthly fee will be charged after the purchase.
